EVERY OTHER TUESDAY FANCYPANTS CINEMA began in 2001 shortly after the opening of North 3rd. Though starting out as a (failed) video-game nerd night - it morphed into Philly's ONLY free Open-Screening for locally-created short films. Over our 12 year history it has boasted many guests, including Cartoon Network's Adult Swim creators, the Sundance Institute, Tim and Eric, The Peekaboo Revue, UNCUT Productions and dozens of local outfits that have been both hosts and creators, sharing work in a fabulous forum known as 'The Lounge'. Having North 3rd's awesome selection of beers doesn't hurt. From the start it's been hosted by Count Scotchula, who is assisted by Andrew Geller (of Woodshop Films) on the buttons. Bartended by Philly's own Kevin Pfluger - it is currently a BI-WEEKLY event so call us to find out if YOU'RE planning on bringing YOUR films out - and on DVD only, please. Screenings start after 10pm, and as always it is FREE to attend! |
